North Wind Botanica sits at the axis of folk medicine, bio-regional herbalism, myth and the mundane.
I work with plants grown on a solar powered forest farm or wild harvested from the surrounding ecosystems of Cascadia. Reciprocal exchange, seed spreading, and wild tending are the backbone of my practice, resulting in deeper relationship and understanding within the ecology of this bio-region.
To tend, is to love, nurture, and give. Tending is not taking, nor is it static. It is regenerative and spiralic. Tending stands of wild plants can result in greater abundance, ecological diversity, and healing.
This work is intimate, specific, and reverent.
